alrite celica owner...i have a gts and i heard there a re-call because of the down shift from gear 6 to 1 or something like that and it will mess up the trans or blow the egine..so i bring it in and they put something so it block it from down shift...before i bring it in, my shifter is really hard or tighten when you shift gear...after they fix it, the gear now is really light and is not tighten no more...does anybody experience this problem or this is normal after they put that in...

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. It sounds like you had it fixed and they put it back the wrong way perhaps. There are springs in your shifter (somewhere, you I can't see them) that tighten up depending on your rpms so that you don't downshift in a case that your wheels would be turning faster than your gears. In my car, it's hard to shift in to 1st with out almost stoping, unless I push pretty hard. I'm sure there are a lot of other threads about this because it was a big issue. BMW M3's had this problem, too.
