Just picked up a 2004 GT with stock wheels. Looking at replacing with some 17x7.5 wheels…. Anyone know if they will rub??… what’s the max size we can go without rubbing?

TIA…

17" wheels are fine.
18" will also be ok with 225/40/18 tires.

the wheel bolt pattern is 5x100.

I just put the exact same measurements on my 2005. My offset was 40゚ and I had very little room in the back left. Make sure you don't go over 40 with your offset I would actually bring it back a little bit if you want some poke. It will fit but I was nervous and had to beat back the wheel well on the passenger side just a little to make it work. Tires are 205-50R-16 and rims are 16x7.5x40°
