I have a 2002 automatic Celica GT and my gas gauge is not working. I've tried resetting the dashboard, checking the floater sending unit, and searched for a fuse that might affect it but I've come to find nothing. Other people on the forums have had a similar issue but their fix either didn't work or was never resolved. If anybody has an idea or suggestions let me know please!

Hey bro, I finally figured it out.

So if your problem is similar to mine you may also notice things like the e brake light, door ajar light and dome light may not be working properly, when you turn the key there is no pinging, and some have reported issues with power locks.

When you go to the passenger side kick panel below the fuse box you will see a red box. This is called the body control module and it’s the root of all our problems. A dealership will scam you about $1000 but if you go to eBay you can get a used one for around 70 bucks. Just remove some of the surrounding trim, I had to take off the glove box and remove the center console in order to take it off. It’s pretty straight forward from there just plug it in and go. Make sure your battery is off for 15 minutes before disconnecting anything.
