There was one today issuing stop sign runners tickets today at an intersection that looks like this:


I didn't get one because I saw him from my apartment, but I did yell "Why don't you go solve one of the 4,391 unsovlved murders in Frederick County?!"

He looked up and was going to flip me off, but didn't

you know i see cops on cell phones all the time too. hey that give me an idea for a new post...

same here but we can get tickets if talkin on the phone while driving unless on hands free why can't they be on handsfree?

i hate cops...they can never do anything for you when you need them and then they go and fuck you over because your going 5 over the speed limit.

I feel for ya man... I used to have tinted windows until I got pulled over twice for them...$65 first time, $90 the next and a threat to impound my car...lmao

i'd say about 30% which is blatantly illegal in california

i tried to play it off like 'i thought that it could be tinted a certain amount'... but it didn't work

well like i have said before i drive by a police station infested with lapd here where i work...and not once have i got pulled over by my tints (i even got a thumbs up from a cop who was looking at my stock car w/ tints). i have had my tints now since december of 02' and not one problem. i think if you draw attention to yourself the more likely you will get stopped. revving your engine, going a little over the speed limit, having decals all over the place, and body kits and spoilers don't help either...not saying all these are bad, but consider this:

if a GT300 with no tints and no illegal mods were to ride with me side by side with my "stockish" car...where do you think the cop's eyes will turn to when he's trying to make his quota...our cars draw enough attention. the more "attention grabing" details you put on your car the less "stealthy" you become.

ps-another example...a guy at newcelica.org who has the same set up as i do gets pulled over all the time for his aftermarket lights and trd exhaust..why?...again maybe he was driving in a way that would get people's attention. because you may like the sound of your exhaust but to a cops ears it screams "pop my hood and check for CARB".. lets' just be carefull guys

my car is fully stock! i even stopped for three friggin seconds at a stop sign, checked both sides before i started to go. he was just waiting for me across the street being an a$$hole

yeah, cops are a pain. the traffic cops over here (probably most other places also) are trained to look for what is legal and what is not (tint, along with exhausts, headers, too much nitrous shot, etc.)...its almost not worth it to do anything illegal to your car here unless you know some cops or courthouse people

we can talk on cell phones here, but it still pisses cops off. they're likely to follow you and when you make one mental mistake they'll pull you over for "reckless driving"

Tinting is one of the few things I can understand a cop getting upset about, especially if they are state police.

Officers need to be able to see into the car in order to survive and they really do get nervous about that type of thing. I remember one of the two tickets I've ever recieved was a few years ago by the state police. The two officers were wlaking up to my car and I just rolled down my windows and they both sort of rushed towards the car to see what I was doing with their hands on their guns. Had me a bit nervous but I did apologize I could tell they were more then a bit nervous themselves. But coming from the are I do I just never would have thought about something like that until then.

So if they can get nervous about that imagine how a cop feels walking up to a car by himself and to a car with full limo tint that they can't even see in. For all they know the guy has a gun pointed at them behind the window.

solution: just roll ur windows down asap when you see a pig. and try to avoid parking outside so you wont get a ticket

we're allowed up to 30 or 35% tint over here which is good. whats the limit over there? i find this weird coz i have legal limit % of tint and it isnt that dark at all. definitely can still see in.
