I recently bought a rebuilt 2001 Celica. At first everything worked great, but I started to notice that my reverse gear was grinding, and just yesterday on my way to work, as I came to a stop to turn, the gears stopped engaging and I had to push it home. After checking it out, I found that none of the gears work, and each one grinds consecutively louder. They also seem to be moving the speedometer, with 1st not moving the needle, and 5th moving the needle to ~22mph. The clutch seems to be working fine, stopping the grinding and dropping the speedometer back to 0 when engaged.
