I have an automatic 02 celica gt and the little plates around the shifter came off the track so when i shift they get all bunched up and stuck. It still works but im worried soon they will snap. Does anyone know how to take the console around the shifter off so i can fix this and has anyone else had this problem? thanks.

alright, around your handbrake, theres a part of the plastic that you can take off, gently push it up and it will come off easy as that
