Just thoght i'd share another one of the latest trends here in australia. this is one of the 2 cars sporting 24 karot gold plated engine bay! thats right..you read correctly...24 karot gold... the other was a honda s2000 but that only had a gold plated rocker cover
wast teh verdict on a celi...yay or nay?

wow..i saw a brass and copper engine on tv last night but 24K gold..nah..i wouldnt gold is to soft of a metal for something like that, you would have to be extreamly careful

just some extra info. that car is riding on 20s. lambo doors. recaro seats automatically swivel towards the door for easier access in and out. tv automaticaaly retracts in and out of the top of the dash board. shaved doro handles. hydraulics (can dance). umm..wat else...wide body. gold plated bolts. hmm..chameleon paint. and...cant rmeember... heres the catch..all these mods done in 5 months!   its purely for shows of course. lol

holy crap!! 5 months u shoulda seen the s2000. only had around a month and he managed to get full vs kit, respray with Harlequin paint, 19s, lowered, apexi exhaust, 24carot gold rocker cover, satelite navigator custom mounted and defi gauges mounted! but this guys around 22-24 and already he's had 7 cars! (FTO,RX7,R34,200SX,WRX,DC5 Integra Type R and now s2000)

Wouldn't it melt? 24k gold is very very soft and scratches easily and melts at lower temperatures than 10, 14 or even 18 karat gold. Looks okay, but too much of a potential hassle.

how thick is the gold plating? I think Dion Sanders has(had) a 24krt gold CAR made from gold, it weighed like 8,000 lbs Slow and pimping. Just get some gold whistle tips
