After seeing how nice gunmetal looks in Spectra Blue, I'm considering getting my wheels painted that color. What process, how durable the paint, how long after my wheels are painted can I install them...? Any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated;).

If you do anything just get them powder coated. It's the best way to go to change the color of your wheels. Besides i dont think you paint wheels.

I painted my rims Andy. In the site i provided below, i have detailed instructions. I recommend you get your rims powdercoated because the finish will last longer and it will be more durable. Just wait till the wheels you want to powdercoat run low on tire tread, then take the wheels to the tire shop, have the tires removed, put temp rims on(stock rims) then get the RIMS powdercoated. After they're done, get them wrapped in rubber and back on your car!

Did you notice the date on the orig post by blue batty? Hahaha, this is a very old thread, pretty sure he's already forgotten about it haha. Anyways, Nice job... some questions..
1) how much did it run you total?
2) what would you recommend if you don't have a spare set of tires?

Again, NICE JOB thumbsup

As a matter of fact, I don't recommend you drive anywhere for atleast 48 hours after the last coat of clear coat to let dry. If you do drive within the first 48 hours, the paint will start to slip off the rim.
