I have the TWM. It looks very short and you have a quick shifting! Greetings ViperT23

I'll post you a pic later on of what I meam by pinching. I've never used/seen the others in person, so they might not be THAT much shorter.

TWM is the shortest - hardest B&M is medium - medium TRD is longest - smoothest

I am going to love the TRD for autox. I don't like to have to think about the shifter, I just want it to work. If it's hard, or stiff, or difficult to use, that might cost precious tenths of a second the TRD is smooth as silk

Just installed my B&M today! The install was easier that I thought it would be. The hardest part for me was getting the new push nut on.
I'm pretty pleased with how my car shifts now, and it looks good too!

I my hand gets pinched by the handbrake! How in the hell do you shift so that your hand gets stuck in there My hand never even gets close to getting stuck between there

I think it would depend on how you hold onto the knob. But even if your hand did get pinched slightly going into reverse wouldn't be that big of a deal for most people.

Keep in mind, if you have a GTS, getting the shortest short shifter will affect your shift timing. This is very crucial for landing lift in 2nd gear. For example, if you get the TWM ss, your hand timing will have to be more percise than before with your stock shifter because of the lesser time it takes to shift while your foot is on the clutch. Just because you get a short shifter doesn't nescessarily mean you'll shift faster.

A friend of mine made his own custom short shifter. He cut his stock shaft and installed a carbon fiber knob. He'd shorten my shifter, but I'd have to get the shaft rethreaded if I wanted to use my stock knob. Shoot for some time taking measurements and cutting the shaft, it's better than paying a bill or two for a short-shifter.

I get what your trying to say but doesn't make much sense to me. basically hes saying that you have to get used to it. the whole shifting process is going to be quicker if you get a short shifter. meaning you can wait exactly for 8300rpm(or where the rev limit is) and shift at that instant, then remember to let go the cluth earlier and punching gas early bcz you have a shorter shift=short throws. meaning if it took you 1 second to shift from 1st to 2nd with all the clutch process and all that, the shifting process has to be done in 0.5 second.

twm, stiff at first, for some reasons it softens up, but the play that was there is gone. I love it!! this may be due to the fact that you grew familiar with it over time. or maybe it really does get loose, not 100% certain..but i would assume you just get used to it. try letting a friend drive and see what he thinks.

The short shifter had a different fulcrum point, and this is what gives the shorter shifts.
