Ok guys, my celica cut off on me today as i was nearing a 4 way stop on the way home. No i did not stall out..I had my foot on the clutch and the clutch was all the way down. I had my cell phone plugged into the cigarette lighter because it was dead and there was a pop and then my car cut off.. i guess i blew a fuse in the cigarette lighter because it no longer works but why would my car cut off for no reason?!?

my guess is you overloaded something.

check out all the fuses and relays.

also, inspect the wiring on your alpine HU. if they spliced in and something touched bare metal (a hu wire) it might have caused an overload.

Also, you just cleaned your CAI filter, did you make sure to install it all properly? Got a CEL?

You might have something installed wrong, and the car bogged down and stalled out
