Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior GTS = GT ?

I am just wondering is the stock exhaust for GT and GTS the same??

My exhaust on my 01 GT is kinda broken and just wonder can I put my friend's 03 GTS stock exhaust on??

Also, are they exactly the same or is the diameter for the piping is different?? I cannot compare because my friend doesn`t live in the same city as me.

no they're not the same

but i think you can use a GTS exhaust on your GT...i may be wrong.

it the gt and the gts are not the same. my question are:
1) would it fit onto my GT?
2) I would probably expect a minimal gain of hp from this??

In my openion, if your going to go through all the trouble of unbolting your exhaust , why would you put a stock on back on ? But then again thats just me. But as for the fitment, I am not sure .

Even if it did fit, you wouldn't feel any difference. The mufflers are the same design internally. If anything the GT exhaust is better because there is no resonator at the end of the exhaust like there is on the GTS.
