sorry to ask a stupid question but whats the difference between a celica gts 5speed and a 6speed gts is one faster then the other or what?

they don't make gts in 5 speed.

Yep they are wrong, its either a GT or a GTS, unless that model is from Europe or Iceland or something like that, but I doubt they make a 5sp GTS anywhere

Yes, actually, they're wrong. The 7th gen. GTS only comes in a 6-speed. They say it has a 5 speed, but I promise it's 6.

probably an error on their part, I mean it's possible and it has been done, but it's really not worth it, will eat your gas milage up.

information is wrong. to me it seems like its gts cz it has sunroof. gts only comes in 6spd or sportshift. if it is a gts, it is a good price for it.

either it is a typo or they are actually selling a gt model.

could be a couple of things, a typo, whoever is selling it dont know anything about celi trannies, might be a gt posed as a gts , maybe it was a swapped tranny, tons of other reasons best bet is ask the seller but 4 sure there are NO factory made 5 speed gts

maybe those cars are custom. the gts is only available in 4 speed automatic/"manualmatic" and 6-speed manual.

ever though when filling out those online advertisements for the cars that the only choices were automatic and 5-speed??

the auto version eats more gas. its close though..its only like 1 mpg difference on both highway and city.

there are no 5 spd gts' unless its custom...but still very odd

Yeah, there is no such thing as a factory 5 speed. There is only one 5 speed conversion that I know of, and it is owned by a member of this site...

He says that the engine is at 3,500 RPM in 5th gear when he is on the highway going 65mph. I know that I normally go around 75 when I am on the highway, but I wouldn't be able to in that car. Imagine how high the RPM's would be at that speed!
