Anyine know if it would be possible to switch the location of the tach and speedomiter? Without knowing the construction of each it seems like it might be possible and then have an overlay to correct units. I think I remember seeing something of the sort back on the MKIII supra forum. ( sniff sniff,i miss my supra) Driving cross country yesterday (Florida to TX) it dawned on me it would be nice to have the tach centered rather than the MPH. Comments, answers, anyone?

Unlink some other vehicles where it just individual clusters and placement is at where you put them, the celica is all one piece here is a shot of what the cluster looks like without the 'dress-up' The front... and the back...

It is very easy to do this conversion. I have done this to a few GTS clusters with great success. I requires the sockets for the drive heads be jumpered one to the other. I will post some info on this when I have some time. Below is a pic of a cluster with the conversion. . .

Below are AutoCAD drawings of the circuit board jumper mod. Do this at your own risk and only if you are comfortable soldering circuitry. Talk to your dog if you ruin you cluster -----------Hey! What you want for nothing? . .

Hehe, I don't know man, I wouldn't do it; And I can solder. that's some fine work there, If you have experience pad-soldering than you could probably do it that way, I'd say, if you changed out your LED's in your gauges, you could probably do the jumper mod, just keep in mind: there are risks to jumping the circuit, so to be safe, I'd get a spare cluster and mod it, toyota warranty wouldn't cover a bad cluster if you mod it. keep a factory cluster around "Just to be safe" BTW, our clusters list KPH as well (the inner ring) You can learn the metric equivalent to certain imperial speeds, and when you've got it down, you could just use the JDM cluster that Satoshi posted earlier. It'd be really cool for show and stuff too (totally JDM! stuff like that get's your car into mags too!) I'd do it, but I like how the gauges are layed out from the factory, My escort had the gauges reversed, so it took some getting used to. I prefer the tach on the left now. Hopefully after x-mas, I will have some pics to show of my interior buildup: I have a shift indicator mounted above the tach and it works out perfectly (for me, anyways).

The eleven thousand RPM reline tach was a ridiculous reference to the amplifiers in the movie This is Spinal Tap. That reference tends to get lost on the youngsters out there. . .

Hahahahahhaaa - I never thought I would hear that reference ever again Good times... hahahaa thank you for the Christmas laugh and the silly explanation (I especialy liked the "small studio" they got when they asked for a studio and didnt specifiy the actual size that they wanted )
