rotora slotted rotors + their ultimate brake pads.. total from rotora.com is $275 shipped. i'd be doing it for the look of the rotor + the extended life of the pad. opinions?

They look good. I have all four rotora slotted rotors with TRD brake pads. To be honest I did not notice any difference in braking; But like I said, they sure look good.

rotoras are not built for racing.

And the slotted rotors will cut down on the life of your pads by about 40%

If you are just doing it for the looks, it'll be sweet, but if you are serious about performance, the rotoras are not a worthy investment. thumbsup
