i've been reading this and i think some of you really dont know what is going on.. the only way you can really judge this is to drive both cars urself and test their top end and whatever.. and i have and i must say the RSX has a higher topend dont deny it because i does.. but acceleration seems about the same.. i like the gearbox a lot more.. but celi still handles better

thats wut i think also. but i believe celica will launch much better cz of its ligthweight and enough hp for launch, while rsx-s has more hp and heavier, chances for rsx-s churpin is more than celica gts. but once rsx-s has gained speed, it will maybe go quicker. im thinkin that once the weight is carried, it is not a big factor of slowing down the car, yet still is. sounds dumb but i think that on a freeway a type s will get to 140s before the gts. torque plays along and all the other stuff. talkin about ppl with same driving skills

the rsx-s and gts are extremely close in performance. basically it comes down to your particular cars. some celicas are made better than others as well as some rsx's are made better than other. some gts show better whp gaisn adn some rsx-s show better whp gains.
that said, i have never lost to an rsx-s. maybe they werent the greatest drivers, but i'm not either.
top speed of gts: 130 mph top speed of rsx-s: 139 mph
hahahahahaha, top speed of GTS 130mph, hahaha, where the hell did you get that from, you ever try topping out your car? you have a GT, or GTS? auto or manual?
was....5speed with i/h/e 15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'
just relax with the rsx and gts arguments... were just trying to get opinions and facts that can prove which one is better. but the conclusion is there both great performing and looking cars. it is a matter wut you want and whats ur taste. as told if you want lots aftermarket parts, rsx has more. I will still get a gts over a rsx-s. gts is always more unique, and its the legendary celica. looks and performs better overall IMO and its an awesome car for being a 4 year old model and it still looks dope. afterall its more reliable its a toyota which i think their production is better than honda.
this is a totally nonsense dabate.. drive both cars and decide for urself you can't assume things to be true you can't debate bad drivers and what not if you drive both cars then you can make the decision.. but damn diablo you are so bias

The numbers speak for themselves.
If you want to bash the celica, go someplace OTHER than everythingcelica.com

And according to the majority, the numbers from a Type-S are higher. Some say they're the same, some say it's not...But if you get your head out of your ass, you might realize that more believe that the Type-S is higher.
No one is "bashing". If you think that's bashing, then you're seriously weak at arguing.

+3 whp and an extra 400lbs wow, that's a better car
BTW, put away your copy of import tuner, those articles and reviews don't mean anything.

i have a gts 6 speed. its top speed is 130 mph. you can look at the links below if you want proof and i suggest you go argue with toyota if you think its wrong. this goes for jameson as well.
i think this debate should have stopped after my comments.. because i think it all started with the guy asking which car he should get but he definately shouldn't ahve asked that on this forum because of some people that think their celica can beat everything on the road, he should just test both cars and pick which he likes.. im not bashing the celica seeing as i own one so calm down diablo
