I don't have one installed, and if there are no directions... I would position it to block the front bumper hole and tape the wheel well holes. To be honest with you though, I just drove in pouring rain on the highway for about 45 min. and I have no problems. That was today.

Yeah, I heard that it is extremely, extremely rare to hydrolock your car. But yes you position it towards the hole you cut in the front wheel well...Kind of off topic but...I have the AEM CAI and I refused to buy the bypass valve.(stops the water from going into the engine) My friend originally had the AEM CAI on his Civic SI and it sounded great, but he added the bypass valve soon after...and after that the intake sounded terrible compared to what it originally sounded like. Maybe he didn't do it right, but I love the sound of my intake and didn't want to lose that sound. But since the exhaust, amazing sound...love it so much.

I HAVEN'T INSTALL MY INTAKE YET, BUT SPIDERMANGT YOU STATED THAT YOU HAVE TO CUT THE WHEEL WELL A HOLE. THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION STATED THAT TOO, BUT WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF CUTTING IT. IS THERE A REASON TO WHY?

THEDOC092: POSITION TOWARD THE WHEEL WELL HOLE? ON A RAINY/SNOWY DAY, WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING, THE TIRE IS SPINNING. WOULDN'T THAT CAUSES WATER TO SPLASH @ THE INTAKE FILTER?

TIDUS: CLEAR CORNER?? THE SIDE PARKING LIGHT?

THANKS MUCH FOR ALL YOUR REPLIES thumbsup

you cut a hole in a splash guard, to enable the intake to go in front of the wheel well. The filter will go on threw the wheel well. There are some holes in front of your tire on the wheel well splash guard, I taped those up. The only other hole is the one in the front bumper. I would face my splash guard towards that.
When you begin to do it, you will see what I am talking about. It is a little difficult to explain on paper. Good luck guys and have fun.
