I have this strange noise coming and only heard from the outside or when my windows are down from both sides of the rear of my Celica. What I mean is the right rear and the left rear. It sounds exactly like someone is hitting a bell at a boxing match. There is a ding ding sound every time I hit bumps, potholes, or anything. The car rides fine, not rough or bouncy, I just don't know what it could be. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I mean any.

No it's not. I had the front dampers replaced and the rears were checked. Nothing was found wrong with the rears other than being a little dry or so they said.

Warranty? Dealership? I'm long past that. The dealersips around me are clueless anyway. My dealership checked my suspension many times and they said nothing is wrong, "just a little lose," when something was seriously wrong. I found out at a shop for imports that my anti-roll bar on the right front was lose and stripped all the way out. I had it re-tapped. If Toyota can't tell that difference, then they in my book are useless. I just don't want to do anything drastic like replace my rear dampers if they are fine and the same sound persists. Can you feel my disgust towards Toyota. It's a beast. So that's out of the question. Thanks any way.

make sure theres nothing in the springs, and if it isn't stock, make sure there installed properly I'm pretty sure they are installed correctly, but you may be right. I just hate to spend another $300 to have it checked and re-installed if it was done before and nothing was found. I have been holding back on my alignment because of this reason. 1 more trip to Toyota and 1 more trip to Action Tire (look it up). Then I will decide what to do unless there are any more suggestions later. I just never heard a sound like that before.

check your jack and crap in the back. i know if your jack isn't compressed against the plastic things if you hit a bump or stop sudden it makes some weird noises. if it's not that take it to dealership

I thought of that too. I took all the stuff out from my trunk including the trunk plastics. You can only really hear it from the outside or my head sticking out the window.
