hey, i saved up enough money to get myself a full exaust system, and i've read many reviews about many of the top competetors, and i've narrowed my searching down to three: Veilside, TRD, and GReddy. Now, i know that these preform very similiarly, and i guess the only other advantage would be the sound, so if anyone knows what the best sounding exaust is, please let me know.

tWiSteD: How can you leave out the Tanabe Super Racing Medallion? The TSRM is the SHIT and I've heard it's better than the TRD. I think you should also take the TSRM into consideration. Well, it's just a thought...

I think RicePowered made the change from TRD to TSRM. You should ask him what he thinks.

i would go with the tanabe also. i personnally just have a custom made cat, but ive heard good things about the tanabe and it sounds really good. and the veilside, im not sure correct me if im wrong, just sells the exhaust and doesn't make a full cat.

thanks guys, if you have any more information about the full cat systems, keep postin...as for the TSRM, i just haven't gotten to get a hold of a review of it, and i will greatly consider it. Oh, and is it really easy to install the exaust system yourself? I have a friend that says it is, and maybe i'll get him to help me with it, but anyways, thanks for your help!!

I am also looking for an exhaust system for my 2002 celica so I took a look at the TSRM. One question I do have is I've heard since the system is made for street racing that it might not be legal everywhere. had anyone had a problem with this?

Some people have, I am in the houston are and have never had a problem. Just ask them for the document stating that the exhaust is legal, and its all good. I think its legal in most states.

hey guys, i'm in favor of the TSRM too, thats what i plan on getting for my car. But what about the veilside teardrop, how is that muffler, does anybody have it on their car, or heard it on a celi before, i'm thinking of that one too because it only ways 8lb, so taken into consideration that shaves off quite a bit of weight. Let me know guys.

buy a Tanabe Super Racing Medallion if you want best performance with a loud nice sound to it. Buy a TRD if you want best performance also but quieter, its as simple as that.

The best out there is the TSRM, that's why i got it...it sounds amazing. Same as TRD as far as gains go, but sounds so much better...trust me, you will not be disappointed. Peace bro. [ 03-01-2003, 08:25 PM: Message edited by: thedoc092 ]

As far as performance is concerned the TSRM and TRD are almost equal. It all boils down to sound and looks (and cost) after that. Its all preference. Below is a link to Turbo Mag that has Dynos, specs and sound clips on quite a few different systems. And as for ease of install for the TRD, took me and a friend about 25 minutes. http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0209tur_exhaust [ 03-02-2003, 06:05 PM: Message edited by: Rugar ]
