Celica Forums General Discussion General Rust spots on paint

Any one knows of any product that can remove rust spots from the body paint(safely). My car is only 2 months old and already showing rust spots on the paint(solar yellow). I waxed the same before winter started here(I'm stationed in Germany). Any ideas will be appreciated.

Well, i have been to 3 different toyota dealers and still they dont want to fix it.
I have rust too. (1 year old european celica)

anybody know where to find what the extended warranty covers? I need to find out if it'll cover the sway end links.

hey, i have a rusting spot right above the left rear tail light. its about the size of half a penny. so if i go to the dealer they sould fix it?

is it really rust? you have an '02 model so unless you scratched that spot up pretty bad the clearcoat and paint should have stopped the rusting.

see if you can sratch it off with a cloth or someting..it might just be plant sap (thats what a lot of my spots were from). billy had also suggestd in another post that it could be slightly acidic rain.

go to pepboys or autozone and pick up a mother's clay bar and see if that takes out the spot(s)

if you have toyo gaurd...I believe the rust warranty is a couple years of something...
