Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior anything truely wrong with buying a used exhaust?

the topic kinda states itself, but i was looking at buying a used trd exhaust for my gts. just wanted to know if there is a major problem with buying a used one.

Shouldn't be it cant be that old. But you do got to ask why is it being sold in the first place.

I don't see any problem there..
Even with dents and scratches...
I'm buying this Veilside exaust.. used..
It has little scratches... but I'll know how it is once I get it installed...

Probably so resedue(sp) on the tip

I don't see a problem with it. Its on the bottom of the car, so it's going to have scratches and maybe a ding or two. Main thing I would check is the tip. Look for dents in it. Other than that, its already "broken in"; no waiting for the packing to settle or burn in.Have fun!!!

Exhausts have no moving parts, nothing mechanical about them. They only wear from road debris and rust. Unless there's obvious outside damage, there's nothing wrong with it. It'll most likely outlast your engine.
