hey everyone im getting a sweet job come april in which i'll be making roughly $1500 a month... i live at home, no other bills so all the cash is going right into my car i got a buddy club front with an rx-7 back, catback exhaust hooked up, and the big scoop, system, intake, yadda yadda, so now its time for the turbo. just wondering after all of that where's the best place to get it installed? should i take it to any body/mechanic shop or is there some specialist that i should go to. thanks
When it comes to aftermarket equipment, i would always seek a place that specilizes in installation for aftermarket. However, if you cannot find a place around you that does that kind of work, im sure that a regular mechanic can install a Turbocharger kit as long as it doesn't require fabrication. As for the Body kit, any body shop will replace your front and back bumpers, but I really don't think they would mold anything. And with the simple stuff, put it in your self. (pick up the phone book and call a few places don't be afraid to ask questions.)
Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.
Since you have a bit of time before you get the kit, I would find performance shops in your area that has installed turbochargers before and if it's possible, talk to those people who have had it done at that particular shop. Be aware of EIP tuning because I have heard shady things about them. Just a heads up.. hope that helps steve
hey i found a place where to get the kit/scoop put on, fitted, painted, etc. which is cool... shouldnt be much too because i know the guy just didnt know he did this kind of stuff... but still have to find out where to put the turbo in... well i still have to buy it first but i will!
