i heard this was only for a manual gts but would it work for an 01 automatic gts also?

Of corse it will work... Same engine, same everything, exeption of transmition.

i dont think they make the platinum face for an auto at all. But you can still use it, just the sportshift lights wont be seen.

it will not work for Auto GTS because it covers the current gear you are in on the gauge...if you're in D, R, N, whatever, it covers that up.

it will not work for Auto GTS because it covers the current gear you are in on the gauge...if you're in D, R, N, whatever, it covers that up. Actually that is on the LCD to the right of the speedo. The overlay will work on an automatic GTS but like someone else noted you will loose the M-mode indicator and the transmission overtemp light.  . .
