Just got my TRD exhaust and installing right now. I need to know if I am installing properly, because there is a gap where the catback meets the muffler. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

How would I know if it leaks? What would I be listening for?

1) finish installing it 2) start your car 3) let it idle 4) check that joint again and listen for leaks 5) place your hand around it to feel for leaks
if it does leak, you'll be able to hear it. it'll sound like something is flapping around.

As long as you have a tight seal between the exhaust and the gasket, it should be fine.
But follow Steven's advice to check for leaks.
