^ ya...they should make it so we can turn it off...
some cars (in tw) have auto on feature, and you can turn that feature off by pressing a button for serveral secs then it turns the feature off...

i really hope toyota'd include that feature.

I imagine you could also add a switch so that instead of permanently disabling them you could deactivate it whenever you want.

Other than tampering with the circuit, you could leave the e-brake engaged (just one click, so it doesn't actually interfere with your ability to drive). If you start the car with the e-brake engaged, the lights don't come on automatically until you release the e-brake.

You will have to manually turn your lights on & off. I like it better. You can drive with only your parking lights on this way.(or all lights off)

I tried to mount a switch and it didnt seem to work. I wired it straight from those yellow wires you cut. If you dont like it you can always connect them back together.

Sure why not? It's a yellow wire with a green stripe. I think there's also a yellow wire with a blue stripe. Don't get them confused! It's a very simple mod

If you turn on your regular headlights, the DRL's are already off!
