I always change the oil always take a look at the oil I’m so scared I just got this car and it’s making a loud noise

Sounds like metal parts hitting each other somewhere on the right which is either serpentine belt or timining chain.

You need to open the hood, run then engine at different throttle levels and listen to where the sounds come from. Mechanics usually wear a stethoscope or a listening tube to pinpoint the locations of the noise.

1. Could be a bad pulley run by the serpentine belt, or something hitting the serpentine belt. Look for anything touching or hitting the belt.

2. Could be something hitting the timing chain. To repair this would require removing the timing chain cover, a long job taking 10- 12 hours
