i have a question, which i'll get to, but
the install took SOOOO long... bolton, bah. more lika custom job on a 04 gts with action package..
so many things in the way..
had to thread a new hole for the rubber gromet thing in order to get it positioned right with the trd kit..
the ecu tube was touching the inlet pipe(cai), but we put a piece of foam stuff in between them. they are still touching though.
i love the way it sounds. so much more bass.
my question has to do with the AEM CAI and lift. when i hit lift it takes on a whole new sound... very mean sounding.. i like it, but i was wondering if it's normal.. its very loud, and kinda buzzs. anyone with the aem cai get this?

the install was a bitch? you think it just was b/c you have the AP or just in general? i'm worried now b/c i'm supposed to be getting mine this week it wasn't too bad... for me anyways my father helped me through the 5 hour period of anticipation... the most difficult steps of the installation were aligning the inlet pipe to make sure it didn't rest on anything rigid, popping in the second adapter to the fan shroud, and making room for the filter the AP did cause a little bit of a problem with installation of the filter.. the spot right above and behind the fog light had some metal protruding which the filter was rubbing against.. also on and around the AP: we had to reposition a bunch of wires and some sort of sensor(?) that looked like a heat sink?? advice: study the directions well before you attempt to install one or two things in the directions might seem a little screwy. use your best judgement to make things work patience and perserverence well worth the trouble the more a drive, the more i love it AEM CAI
