yes it will.

in the service department of toyota's eyes(most service departments), Turbo = increased wear, no matter how good you take care of your car. therefore, any damages you bring in for warranty work, especially those pertaining to the engine, will be blamed on the Turbo.

EVERY ENGINE MOD FROM EXHAUSTS TO CAI ETC VOID WARRANTY. You can sometimes get away with some stuff..a freind of mine has an aftermarket exhaust in his Vdub and they wouldnt fix something in his car because of it (even though the problem had nothing to do with the exhaust)..but he bitched and they gave in.

but a Turbo is definitly asking for trouble in the department..cause its not as simple like a cai which is pretty much an air filter.

aftermarket parts don't by default void your warranty.

If the aftermarket part CAUSES the problem, it is not covered under your warranty.

A Turbo would be seen as causing every problem inside an engine, so you can assume your powertrain warranty (engine at least) would be nullified.

Magnuson - Moss Warranty act of 1975 [impalaclub.com] happywink

"The dealer usually states that because of the aftermarket parts the warranty is void, without even attempting to determine whether the aftermarket part caused the problem.

This is illegal.
" unless the warranty states no aftermarket parts like benz has in their policy

it also depends who installs aftermarket parts... aka trd parts installed at the toyota dealership are usually covered under warenty, they installed it so they are to blame if it breaks or breaks something...

It's such BS that Toyota dealers actually say "TRD parts won't void your warranty. NO after market part voids your warranty, unless it causes the problem. The only real advantage of having TRD parts installed by the dealer is that the part itself is then covered by the car's warranty.

It bugs me how many people come on here and say "if you install a CAI it voids the warranty". Uh, no. And to the statement above "every single after market part voids the warranty"... does that include fuzzy dice? Think about it for a second.

BTW... I'm very tired today. When I saw this topic, I thought a "turbo warranty" was some sort of ultra warranty... you know, better than a normal one.

"You just got the normal powertrain warranty? Well I got the Turbo WARRANTY! HA!"
