The only ecu tuners I know of are the A'pexi Power Fc and Greddy E-manage.

I believe hitting lift anywhere before 6k RPM will slow you down, more than help you. So I'd say it's better to just leave the lift engage where it's at, and raises the rev limiter a few hundred RPM (8600 maybe, whatever you are comfortable with). Here's a link to the discussion about the Power FC: https://celicahobby.com/ubbthrea...5&fpart=all

how would hitting the lift at say 5000 rpm slow the car all its doing is lifting the valves more so more air and fule can go in to the combustion chamber creating a bigger explosion thus increasing hp and also i have never hit the rev limiter idk even know were the rev limiter is ... whats is it at 8000

It's more complicated than that, has to do with gear ratios and everything. On stock internals, I wouldn't touch lift, maybe just rev limiter

Rev limiter is 8300 or 8400, I believe. Earlier on 2002 model.

MWR did a lot of tuning with their GTS. You can see here... http://monkeywrenchracing.com/mwr_celica_gts.html As the graph shows, the lift cam is so aggressive that it makes less power below 6300 rpm than the lower cam makes. They say because of the lag in the VVTL-i actuator, it engages lower and takes over at the perfect spot.

well lift for me is at 6k and its perfect i can shift at rev limt in first and second and stay in lift
jsut because theres more air doesn't mean theres more power from my old sb days i could by cams that were made for specifc areas of the tach i.e. a low range midrang or high range cam all were desinde to work better in there specific area then others
hey thats a 20 minute phone call "if i have seen farther it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" derek: do you know that non dairy cream is flamable Jennie: ...derek..what did you do
