For the people that replaced there clutch themself which route did you go, pulling the tranny or did you just pull the engine?? My clutch is about shot (praying it will make it untill after christmas) so i can install my Turbo and the clutch at the same time.

pull the ranny...its easier. I'm not about to go and do it myself, but as far as changing them goes, from what I've heard, its easier to just drop the tranny on a cradle, and go from there

Don't know, but i know it will be proabably a good couple of hundread bucks if not more, that is why i am doing it myself.

Don't know, but i know it will be proabably a good couple of hundread bucks if not more, that is why i am doing it myself. haha you wish, i've been told upwards from $800 at toyota.

so say someone wanted to buy a trd clutch..w/ install its definitly going to be over 1,000 bucks right?? do you guys think its a worthwhile mod if your clutch isnt totally burned?

clutch install should run you between 300-500 dollars. if you're going to run a Turbo, the TRD clutch would definately not be enough...i would go with either the ACT XT pressure plate and street disc or the RPS Turbo clutch. so all in all it would cost you anywhere between 700-900 dollars.

u should call up clutch masters or ACT clutches and they will answer all ur question they are very helpful give'em a call

Install is very simple and should take a good days work...just because i had to wait for my fly wheel resurfacing...but if you have an after market flywheel on hand no more than 4 hours for install...i know toyota takes it for the day...which sucks...I totally recommend the ACT Clutch and flywheel...HUUUGGEE difference from stock...

The Toyota book says 6.9 hours labour for a clutch. I just got a TRD Clutch put it and i am very very happy with it. The total damage was about $1350 CAD.
