about how long does it take to change and how much did you guys pay for it
toyota wants 1500 while my friend who had a celica said he paid 400

Should take a good days work (4-8 hours).

Toyota will quote you at $800+, but I got my gf's dad to do it for $300, and that was including the $150 for the clutch.

Just make it change by a good garage, dealership charge twice an hour for any works and a lot of their mecanics are crap! Well where i leave it is like that thumbsdown

If you do take it to a shop, be sure and remove the under body plastics, because often times, they will not take them off correctly and damage them.

Also, in order to access certain parts, your air Intake and ECU may need to be removed also. Shouldn't worry too much about this, but if your car comes back with a dinged up air Intake, then that's most likely why.

$1500 is way too much...my dealer (a very good one BTW) quoted me only $480 in labor to do the TRD Clutch and Fidanza flywheel install
