Ill post the violation code and the full description when I get home later tonight it IS illegal to have ANY under-car neons installed... even if they are not opperating, installation is an instant FINE. I have a set installed on my car, but they are not visable unless you remove the front bumper... since they are hidden behind the crash-bar - they light up the front upper grill with toyota logo and lower large grill area... but dont light anything under the car (unique... but is it still legal?) Purple lights... NOT red or blue

Do ya still got them how are they doing so far. Those looked sweet!!!

whoa whoa whoa, wait up a minute...if they are totally illegal then how the hell do all those ppl who have them get in on? i mean if they're totally illegal how the hell do they get them? or whats even more confusing for me, why the hell do places like carexcess.com sell those lights? makes no sence. someone clear this up for me. i heard before that its just illegal to have then turned on while driving but its ok to turn them on when parked. funny thing, i saw a bunch of wannabe racers out the other night with two cars that had the under carriage light on. lol

I asked a cop over here (Ohio) he said they're ok. Just depends what state you live in. The only illegal colors are blue and red mixed together...looks like a cop car I guess? Thats what he told us. And the only reason that I can think of why they would sell them if they were illegal, is for show.

They are allowed to sell them because on the package it says "For off road use" or "Show only"

You don't need underbody neons, PERIOD. I don't blame law enforcement making these things illegal. I would too!

the things that are stupid to me are the little lights that you get with the windshiel washer jets, they are always blue, it would annoy me to no end to have them lil things up there
