ok i would like the honest truth about what you all think of my car. you can be brutal i can take it. i am struggling trying to decide what to do next. of couse the obvious mods are going to be a drop and some rims. and as far as the rims go, most people say go with gunmetal, but i like the contrast of just plain silver i think. what kind of drop, rims, etc. would you reccommened. should i get black eyelids. i also need exhaust and a hood, maybe the vis incader in carbon fiber. but if i get that, should i paint it black for the ultra-sleek, clean look? just wanted to post a couple pics and get everyone's thoughts on what would or wouldn't go good on my car. i know you all know your celica stuff so it'd be good advice coming from this site. i am an extremely indecisive person and i can't really choose without second geussing myself 100x. and then i have been known to change parts after they're bought and installed, which costs too much money. i ca'nt keep doing that. i don't post a lot anymore so most of you may not know anything about me ro my car. anyway here's a couple pics. and you can find all of them in the link under my sig. thanks everyone.

youve got a nice car very good condition. I cant tell if windows are tinted. Make sure to get some 17 inch rims or so. And i like silver rims better than gun metal, go with silver. smile

I'm the same way bro, it makes me nuts. But I have to tell you I love your car. Looks like you put some nice mods in her. I would go with an Exhaust system and Intake next, after I get my fogs and mirror installed I will be doing that as well. thumbsup

*edit don't drop it you will regret it latter trust me on that, unless she is not a daily driver than maybe you can get away with it. Mine is not a daily driver and I still will not slam her.

I'd say leave the Carbon Fiber hood unpainted.. part of having a Carbon Fiber hood is letting people know your serious about performance and they can't tell it's Carbon Fiber if it's painted.. plus paint would add a small amount of weight to it. I really like the way the hoods on celicas look stock if I got a Carbon Fiber I'd get stock and put a Carbon Fiber C one raised scoop in it. Personally I'd go with chrome, it's a few hundred more for chrome wheels but they really sparkle(they look really good on black or red cars, mine is silver so I'm still debating on whether to get chromes for my car or not). or Black for a stealth look. Performance obviously. Get an exhaust it's the most noticeable perofrmance mod(make sure the noise lvl is legal though.. trd one is 88db below 95db legal limit), and intakes can cause CEL to go off. Nitrous is cool too and you can show off if you get one of those purg kits with the LED's looks nice. Have ya thought about interior mods? paint the dash, race seats, gauges, gauge faces, stereo system, shift knobs, floor mats(for about 100 you can get kick ass diamond plate shiny metal ones at usspeed.com). Also stereo setups, custom painted fiberglass enclosures in the truck are nice.

Get 17 or 18 inch black rims with a polished lip. Depends if you want performance or show. Then a definatly new hood, (invader unpainted or oem with raised scoop? If you want a really aggressive look get blue bats headlight over lays www.bluebatmobile.com [bluebatmobile.com] ( check my pro for pics)

"i am an extremely indecisive person and i can't really choose without second geussing myself 100x" Your funny man. Honestly your car looks sweet and I dont have any complaints about any of it. I say get the invader and paint it black to match. I am not the biggest fan of carbon fiber on black although it is not that big of a deal. I would go TRD exhaust and TRD springs if you know the downsides to having a drop and still want it. And I like 5 or 6 spoke rims but post a few rims you like and we will tell you.Rim opinions vary the most of almost any mod I would say so good luck with that one lol thumbsup

i would go with 17 inch chrome rims-get the carbon hood but definately paint since carbon fiber looks brown on black cars exhaust i would get a custome one and a cold air intake and a grounding system-although i wouldnt worry about the rims fist yet yours ook good still

My opinion on the rims would be 18's. Chrome or Black with the polished lip, Open, not mostly closed up. Paint the calipers. There's nothing in your interior section or pictures. Think about doing something with that. A Blue or Red would look hot. If you want to spend money. Get a new paint job. Keep the same color, jsut throw some blue ar red flakes in it to set it apart from everyone else. Make sure to keep some paint to do the interior the same. You don't want the cheesy solid interior wehn you have a bad ass paint job on the outside. For a little more pick up, think of getting a throttle rotor. It will tighten your cable and make your gas peddal more responsive. Definitely an intake and exhaust!! Also, lowering your car will not hurt your ride if you care to spend a decent amount of money on the right shocks and springs. Car looks good, always room for improvement!! I wish I still had my Celi. I can't find shit for parts for my 2005 Camry. frown It's too new or something!! I'd love to continue to be working on the Celi and just setting her up the way I seen her in my mind when I bought it. Oh well, new car, new plans...if they ever come out with sht for me!!!! Good luck bro!

the windows are tinted 18 on the back and 27 on the sides. there's no question that when i get rims they will be 18s or possibly even 19s. i don't have a single performance mod yet. i watned to builed up the car's exterior first and i think i've almost got that done, except for rims and a drop of course. and then possibly the hood. the rims are really what i'm stuck trying to choose.

TRdRida is one of my best friend's, and every time we go out people notice our cars together and always approach us. but they always say stuff about his and i'm just kinda there listening to him get compliments. that's what i want to know what you all think and what you suggest. i want to have a show quality car. but the sad thing is it is my daily driver.

btw i'm also a huge fan of the standard, 5-6 spoke rims. i'm not really a trend setter or anything. i know that's about all you see but its what i like. i had almost decided on adr visions in black w/ a polished lip but i think i've decided to go w/ a just playin silver finish.

the car has 67k on it so when i get a drop i'm gonna have to get springs and struts. i was leaning towards the tokico set. its a 1.5" drop and its like $415 shipped on ebay.

silver vs gunmetal...

first i took moda r6's in silver and chopped them, then took TRdRida's gunmetal Falken torque 5's and chopped them onto my car. which looks better? silver or gunmetal w/ polished lip?

silver

gunmetal

i like the contrast of silver off of the black, plus i have those red tyc's so gunmetal or black rims might not flow w/o dark tails.

but i also like the gunmetal look. it flows and has the whole dark theme. but do you think i'd need to switch to black tyc's to support the dark look?
