uh, your friend is right. we have coil packs.

I've seen them once on the internet but I dont think they are worth it or do anything.

i need new ones because they were tested and not conducting enough electricity. my brother is a mechanic and has a tool to test that and he said that 2 were bad and the other 2 were still good.

I think that MSD makes coil packs not sure if you can use them on the celica though.

instead of having one coil for two cylinders like most DIS systems, we have an individual coil for every plug, also know as coil-over plugs. The coils just provide the electrical charge to the spark plug.

they are $560 from ignition-soultions.com they supposedly amplify the spark signal kinda of like an MSD ignition package would...but for $560, I harldy think it would be worth it

just get new ones from a toyota dealer that'd probably be the only place to get 'em since it's probably so specific to our car that they don't have performance ones out there.

(not saying we're the only car with coil over ignitions just that the wires are probably different, but don't really know what I'm talking about)(corvettes have coilover ignitions too)
