loose belt, the belt can be wet, belt tensioner. Those are the probable causes for having the serpintine belt to squeak.

yeah thats a common problem. I'm not sure if it affects peformance, but i know its annoying as hell. Mine is getting worse, now it doesn't go away. if you do a search you'll probably find a million posts about this. so far some think its just the belt, or the bearing. I'm not really sure what it is. I'd fix this but i don't think there is a write up on how to do it, so i'll probably just have to wing it.

yeah i know what yall mean. everytime it rains, it starts up again. it doesn't go away until the next day or so. i asked how much it would cost to get a new belt and they said about $175. i said aaallrighty then... i gues i can put up with it a little longer.

IDK, if your celica is getting up there in miles (70,000+), it wouldn't be such a bad idea to replace it.

They that out but make sure you dont get any on the bults or they coudl slip off. Pisses me off becasue it makes it sound cheap. Well thenkfully its still under warrenty so eventualy i will get around to going to toyota
