and this is finished setup No.1 (note: I still plan on getting subs) and like I said its rough I know but you get the general idea...I also dont think Ive ever seen this done so its unique I guess

6x9 are directional so wouldn't you want to face the speakers towards you with the seats down.

6x9 are directional so wouldn't you want to face the speakers towards you with the seats down. Yup...I would put them facing the front. Nice job though!

hmm really...but if I had them facing forward nd put the seats up it would baffle the sound...unless I could point them at a more upwards angle...I have an idea that would look nice
another question, I was told its better to free air those speakers than box them is this true?

how did you wire them? im thinking of making some boxes for my 6x9's, or doing something like what you did. however i dont have any amps for them. kinda sucks i have only had these speakers for not even a month before i got my celica (spur of the moment type thing). dont wanna sell them. and they are just sitting up in my room gathering dust.

actually I just branched the wires off of the rear speakers...and right now Im not running the 6.5's...until I get some new speakers for them

Very good idea. I think they're should sound better if you boxed them. We just boxed the speakers in my friend's 79 Trans Am. Huge difference.
