I have a problem with my alarm. the damn thing just stays on. What i mean is if you were to open the door then hit the lock button it will make a constant beep. Im not sure whats wrong with the thing but i had to disconnect the beep modual so that it wouldnt drive me insane. Is there a way to reset the factory alarm so i can reprogram it?

My car constantly beeps only when a door is open, see if your trunk or a door is not shut all the way; does the dome light goe out when the doors are shut? how about the trunk? Fold the seats down and look for the trunk light to go out. Tghe hood might have a switch too. My New beetle did. I would bet it's something to do with it! Keep us posted

another way to check if any doors are open also is to turn the car on and see if the door indicator in the speedometer lights up...

no all the doors are shut what happend was i accidently taped into the power wire for the beep modual and once i did that it tweeked out on me. the only thing i can think of doing is resetting the alarm.
