Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone out there knew what possible gains a 1zzfe would gain from a 3 angle or 5 angle port and polish job. One person on newcelica.org stated that it would put out 25whp. I smell B.S. Also, is there anyone who could do this type of job around the East Coast?
I know who you are talkoing about. He has been talking with a shop here in Houston. I called them up and asked them some questions as well. They calim that they can do. They also daid, that they will refund the labor costs if they cannot do it. Now if some company is willing to put that on the line, I think it can be done. This shop is very well known and very reputable. If you want good gains, you have to use a good shop.
I don't know what gains are possible, but I did not find it worth the money to do the P&P, valves, retainers, then to get better gains, you need to tune. So you must spend some more bucks on electronics, and bucks for the tuning. Then you might as well do this and that and this and that...see what I'm getting at. Now if you want to build up an NA engine and maybe put some spray in it, then I say go for it.
