Ok just got new rims 17x7.5 +40 waiting to mount on some 225/45/17 tires. But I also am going to install new shocks and lowering springs. Lowering the car about 1.4 all around. Opinions? Will my car need rolled fenders? Will my wheels rub?

I have 18in rims on mine right now and want to lower my car. I was wondering the same thing! Any updates with yours yet? Lowered?

may i ask why you guys went with big wheels? just curious.. i bought 16in wheels just yesterday

Performance-wise, when pared with the proper suspension system; Among other things, larger/wider wheels provide more grip to the ground while the suspension lowers the center of gravity, and may adjust the wind-flow dynamics.

Visually; It gets rid of the wheel-gap when also pared with lowered suspension.
