Alright I've driven manual in other cars but I haven't really touched it in my Celica. My Celica is automatic and manual but my question is how do you downshift without a clutch? Also to shift its buttons on the steering wheel which I've never seen. Any help is appreciated!

Sounds like your Celica has the 4-speed auto w/ Sport Shift. There's no clutch in those models, so you simply shift with the buttons on the steering wheel (the upshift button is behind the wheel, while the downshift button is the one you visibly see on the wheel).

Bear in mind though, if you plan to use the buttons, your gear selector will have to be put in "S", which activates the Sport Shift mode. I believe alternatively, if you don't want to use the wheel's shift buttons, you can simply use the "+" and "-" notches located to the left of the "S" gear to do upshift and downshift.

Oh mine doesn't have a :S" anywhere. I have a "M" next to "D" and I push to the left and it goes into shift but my only question is how do you downshift? Do I downshift like I would with a clutch? I'm just a little confused. There also isn't any" + or - ".

Right, forgot its an "M" instead of an "S". :P

And to downshift, you just move the stick up or down, since with the autos there's no clutch pedal if I recall. Going on the knowledge I have of automatics with a "manumatic" mode, moving the stick up is your upshift, down is your downshift. So to downshift, you just move it down, no clutch engagement needed (again, pretty sure there's no clutch pedal for the autos, but I could be wrong).
