Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me please. I have a 1994 2.0 Toyota Celica which is a JDM. I was wondering if anyone could help me with the paint code. I have taken a photograph of the plate in the driver door jam but I'm not sure which part is the code.

Thanks for any help.

Regards,
Paul

** Two-Step Paint System
The 1994 Toyota Celica is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new.

Possibly on a sticker inside your glove-box, or more likely on the bottom of the hood. I dont recall exactly, but those would be the second places I'd check after looking at the door jam, as you've already done wink

You'd also have some luck doing a Carfax to determine what color the vehicle was originally sold as, and then searching that out. But thats only if you believe your car was repainted at some point.

If thats not the case, you already have a pretty good judgment of the factory color and its name.

Any auto body paint shop will be able to find the factory color code for you. Though, they would recommend matching its current color, since what you currently have, probably has some sort of fading if its been out in the sun for any period of time.
