Hey Everyone! So my grandpa decided not to use starting fluid and used gas which started a fire in the engine bay of the celica I was buying from him :(, however the engine itself has not been damaged (to what I’m aware of) and it seemed to be mostly the radiator and fans, air cleaner box, and fuse boxes have been damaged however I was wanting to see if you guys could help identify more items that have been damaged since I’m not too experienced with cars? Please and any info will help !

Jesus man, everything is covered in dust and looks like there are leaks everywhere (what I can make of in the short video above). If its fire damaged, there could be a lot of fried wiring and/or hoses that need replacing in the engine bay. If you're not too experienced with cars, I would strongly suggest steering clear from this disaster, would only use this car for parts. Not worth it to repair

Haha yeah, little back story for it, used to be my Dads car before he was deported so I’ve been wanting it as my dream car since I was about 10, 20 now, finally able to afford buying it from my grandpa, he’s had it sitting there for years (explaining the dust) so I knew it was gonna be some work, since my uncle is a mechanic I was gonna have him teach me as he went along repairing it after the fire damage my grandpa caused. Car only has 35000miles. But if y’all think it isn’t worth it, I’ll think I’ll stop with it and just search for another celica 😭
