I bought a 2002 celica gt recently and need to get the brakes and rotors replaced. When i google what brake system it uses in the back i get results saying they’re drums but when I search car specifically for parts on a auto shop website it gives me results for discs? Can anyone help with clarifying this for me?

Celica GT has rear drum brakes which require frequent adjustments and really don't work.

Since you are replacing the rotor, look for kits to upgrade them to disc brakes, far better in stopping power and require little maintenance and no adjustment besides replacing pads.

Racers were all impressed with the GTS' 4-wheel ABS disc brakes, said they work smoother and better than MBZ S600's brakes.
