Hello guys.
I am looking to buy a 6-7th gen celica. What should i look for? are there any things to pay extra attention to? And i have heard that the most reliable engine is the 1.8TS. Is this true, ot all engines are good.
Thank you for your answer.

I would recommend the Gen 7 with a 1.8 L 2ZZ engine with VVTI-L .

That engine was designed with a lot of moving parts made with light weight Titanium alloy, so it's very quick response, revs up and down quickly, power was always on tap at any RPM range, it screams like a jet engine all the way up to 9000 RPM. The Lexus LFA's V10 engine is a similar design with a Yamaha DOHC cam system, also revs up to 9000 RPM,

I drive this car very hard, cruise at high speed every week, engine still smooth and strong with 335K miles, nothing is wrong with then engine or the car..

Check compression on all cylinders, should be around 200 PSI +/- 10% of each other.

Check for possible head gasket or cracks in valve head and engine block with oil and coolant mixes in engine and radiator.
