If you take the rev limiter off, won't there be a high chance of blowing up or seriously damaging the engine?

On an auto, is there anyway to make the rev-limiter cut-off at a higher rpm?

Dude unless you know what your doing, leave your rev limiter on, it is there for a reason. You don't want to mess your whip up. Leave it be, cause if you don't know how to do it, you probably arn't going to know when to enough is enough when your racing, and that will be it for your ride.

Or am I thinking of a neutral drop or something?
