i have a custom mounting kit.. when i tried installing it, it was going fine until i went to put the center panel back on because the mounting kit was too low to be inserted into the opening in the panel... help!!!!

it wouldnt screw into the car right if it was flipped over... i have no idea... someone help.. im almost ready to just waste my money and take it to a pro.

those mounting kits that are "custom" theres only two.. the one thats black and the one im talking about that matches the color of the interior. when i have it screwed in and everything.. it looks fine (with out the panel on) and hten when i go to put the panel on(the one that goes round the stereo and up to the little clock) it doesnt line up.. my stereo is too low but i dont see any adjustments i can make..:S

i would have had the same problem, i installed a new sony x ploud system, and i just used the stock brackets off the toyota stero, it was easy once i unbolted them, ( i had to use a gimmy bar and a rachet, what bitches) and got some screws from best buy for free. After bolted in its off center, so i have to get some plasic at lowes paint it and cut it to shape and take off my consoul again and lay it in then put the consoul back on so it will stay. If you need any help, i just did this last weekend and messed up my first time, but figured it all out the next time and it was quite quick plus i installed a 10 changer in the trunk. This is soooo easy. Do it urself for $20 or less. Just buy the right kit.
