Does anyone know a site that shows all the steps for installing the carcept style roof spoiler? I know your suppose to use M3 tape and the two screws but it would be a lot of help to see some pictures. I looked at where I had to drill and its a very wierd angle. So any help will be great, i.e. pictures, step by step instructions. I couldn't find the installation instructions on this site. Thanks for the help fella's, augie
dont drill the holes...just postion it on the hatch part of the car, check for clearance while somebody holds it for you, like if the hatch will open etc. and then just use a little bit of double sided tape, put it back on, when you like the position etc, have the friend hold it, while you take out the rubber grumets from underneath the hacth and drill the screws all the way up. try to center it the most you can ok...and do this before paiting it...dont over tight. then just take it out and paint it etc,
Thanks Beto, Is it true that before you install the roof spoiler permenently, you need to to have 3M tape underneath it? You say to drill the holes before I paint it, does that make it easier? Can you install it after you paint? I'm just a little worried about the holes that will be on the hatch while its getting painted. The most important thing I need to understand is how do i start the drilling. The hatch only opens so far and it leaves a wierd angle, should I just use a power drill and drill through with a screw or should I pre drill first? Thanks for the help. Does anyone have a picture of the holes with the drill inserted how its suppose to be?
no you dont need to put 3 m tape on it, the roof spoiler fits perfectly on the hatch, i do recomend sealing the holes...i recomend preinstalling it before paiting just in case you make a mistake, like you let the roof spoiler fall or something(dont laugh it happened to me). or that when drilling it you over drill it and have the screws come on the other side...(yes it happened to me too, not funney)
you dont need to predrill the holes use the screws they are make for that... even at that wird angle you can drill them...good luck and feel free to ask ??? k
stun youre part is here and will leave from here on the next shippment on wednesday...
