Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior does this sound sketchy?

ok heres the deal...Billy had that post on those ADR visions and I fell in love, I couldnt find anywhere that sold the right ones, so I ended up calling ADR and talked to someone and he gave me a phone number to a place in NY called NNR Tire. So I called them up and the guy just tells me send me a check for $850 and Ill ship you the rims...Ive searched for the company and I dont see it anywhere...just seems kinda weird, but ADR sent me to them so Im just confused

that seems kind of expensive for those too

anyone ever heard of this store its in Queens NY

no but if i were you i would def do more reseach on this company berfore sending any kind of money. try asking for a website address or something, just dont rush into this.

Try to pay credit card so if anything happens you can complain to the Credit card company and not be held responsible.

what size were you going for??
for 17's, that's a bit expensive for that rim...
for 18's, that's a good price!

but, no if ADR sent you to them, they are obviously a distributor and that doesn't mean they have a website...

Call the place up and find out information from them first hand...ask them whatever you want to know

BTW - if you go with it let me know, and give me the number and whatever to that place..I may want those rims in 18's

and now I feel like an idiot, I wasnt exactly searching for a website, just any evidence that they existed, I was searching on Yahoo yellow pages for NNR tire but its actually NNA...oops
well they do exist, hopefully tomorrow Ill be sending out a check

I called wheelsnext today and they have the same ones for $899 with tires, I dunno what kind of tires they have but thats sounds like a better deal

from wheelsnext website though, they list that they only have 17's

well if they have 18's, i have that website bookmarked

I just went and looked at whels next and thats the same price they have listed for the 17" rim

Im pretty sure they dont have the same prices for both sizes

that's what I was saying...e-mail them and see what they say...but if you called, I am sure that's right...since you said the 18's at the other place were about the same as the ones listed on wheels next...so who knows.
