Hello have a 2004 Celica GT. I am getting a P0717 code and it says its the Transmission Input/Speed sensor. I have purchased a new one but does anyone know where that is located? Maybe a diagram. I was thinking it might be under the airbox or battery. thank you!

The speed sensor sits on top of the transmission below and near the battery.

It's easy to remove and replace after you take the battery out.

Thanks again! I have another question for you. I have a 2004 Celica GT i am looking to do a basic drain of the Trans fluid. And replace with Toyota ATF IV fluid. My question is can i just add back with what was taken out while the trans is cold? What is the recommend steps to re add fluid i guess that is what i am asking. thank you so much!!

To drain the xmission fluid, use a hex allen wrench to open up the drain plug.

Drain out the fluid, add back about the same volume you took out, then monitor the fluid level with the dip stick.
